The histogram often speaks before the cross

Three lines, three different sentences

MACD arrives on the board as three related marks: the MACD line, the signal line, and the histogram, which is their difference drawn as bars. Participants who learned the study from a single screenshot usually remember only the cross. The cross is the most visible event and, on a daily chart of a name that has already run, often the most crowded.

We ask a plainer question first. Are the histogram bars growing or shrinking? A price high with shorter bars is not the same story as a price high with taller bars. Both can later print a cross. The slope told you the urgency was leaving before the lines agreed to say so.

Zero line and the long trend

When the histogram spends weeks on one side of zero, a small hook toward the signal line can be a pause, not a change of trend. The Evening Indicator Circle keeps a KOSPI name on the board for this reason. The room marks the hook, then looks back at the last time a similar hook failed while the histogram stayed positive.

None of this requires a faster computer or a new formula. The default lengths are enough for the sittings. Changing the lengths to force a cross onto a date you already liked is a way of drawing the conclusion first. We do not do it.

How a sitting uses it

In the studio, MACD occupies the fifth and sixth evenings. You receive a packet where the signal-line cross is easy to find, and a second packet where the histogram faded and the cross never became the interesting part. The pencil work is to caption each in a single line: agreement, fade, or a cross that arrived after the move was old.
