About the room

A chart desk that stayed small on purpose.

The official registered business name is Cortex Mosaic. The business was established in 2015 in Jeonju. The work is technical analysis training, taught in person, with momentum indicators and oscillator interpretation as the whole subject.

A short history

In 2015 Han Seo-yeon began a Tuesday evening circle above a stationery shop near Jeonju’s old streets. She had been keeping a personal study book of oscillator marks while working a clerical post at a local securities branch, and a handful of acquaintances asked to see the method rather than the conclusions. The circle used printed daily charts and a shared pencil rule: mark the study before you name the trade.

In 2019 the circle moved to the present room in Wansan-gu. The table is longer, the packets are cleaner, and the name on the registration stayed Cortex Mosaic. Bae Min-jae joined in 2021 to edit the chart packets and keep the archive of board sheets. The room still does not take more people than the chairs allow.

Participants are mostly in Jeonju and the surrounding cities. Many follow KOSPI and KOSDAQ names; some bring USD/KRW or an index future. Teaching is in English, which suits both residents who study in English and visitors passing through Jeollabuk-do.

How the room works with you

You bring a market you already watch. The desk does not assign you a watchlist. In the studio, your chart waits until the last two sittings, after the shared packets have set a common vocabulary. In a one-to-one review, your charts are the whole hour.

Credentials in this room are the years of that practice, not a license hung over the lamp. Seo-yeon’s role is instructor of chart reading. Decisions about capital stay with each participant.

What the desk values

Printed sheets, because a screen invites constant refreshing. Small numbers, because a divergence discussion collapses when twelve people speak at once. English on the board, so a term means the same thing from the first Tuesday to the last. And a refusal to dress a slope up as a promise.
